It's never too early to get your children reading! More great ideas found at the Bitty-Bits Blog!Bean’s favorite book right now is Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham. He knows it backward and forward to the point that he can finish the rhymes with you.

“Not in a…” “BOX!”

“Not with a…” “FOX!”

I love this kid. He’s such a reader like his momma…

So, as something fun, we decided to make blue chocolate chip cookies! Why blue, you ask? And not green?

Well, blue is prettier, frankly, and more appetizing. And I’ve always wanted to make blue cookies ever since reading the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. The main character is the son of Poseidon, and so his mom always makes all blue food on his birthday.

One of these days I’m gonna have a rainbow week where every day we eat all things from a different color of the rainbow. You know, Monday will be Red, so we’ll eat apples, tomatoes, cherry pie, spaghetti…you get the idea.

So here’s our blue cookies! I think they’re so pretty!
