Water Color Pointillism

So awhile back I wrote about learning pointillism and practicing with the kids. Bean is now taking it one step further! He wondered if he could paint with water over it and wanted to see what would happen. It turned out beautifully!

I wonder what he’ll think to try next. He’s gotten very creative lately–as well as tall! It’s been a growing summer for both kids, in mind and body.

We’ve also had a lot of fun playing with some “Frost Fairy Snot” a cousin made for the kids for Christmas (she said she used the recipe found here at Paging Fun Mums). I avoided it for about a month because I thought it’d be messy, but in a lot of ways it’s cleaner than playdough! The texture is just wacky and so much fun to play with. Bean loves stretching it, and Bird likes to feel the texture.

And now it’s time to go back outside because the smoke has lifted and the weather is finally starting to cool from 100 degree heat to a nice 80s! Huzzah!
